Through our diverse and impactful programs, we aim to bring hope, healing, and empowerment to those affected by gun violence and opioid addiction. Here's an insight into what we do:
To Table it Program
Through our “To Table it” program, we believe in the power of open conversations. We organize round table discussions where victims of gun violence and opioid addiction can share their stories, experiences, and struggles in a safe and supportive environment. These discussions foster understanding, empathy, and a sense of community, helping participants heal and find strength in unity.

Media Services
Our Media Services initiative is dedicated to providing comprehensive media training to youth who have experienced the devastating impact of gun violence and opioid addiction. Through workshops and mentorship, we equip these brave young individuals with valuable skills in video production, podcasting, interviews, and blogging. By sharing their narratives through various media platforms, they become powerful advocates for change, inspiring others to join the cause
– Video: Through powerful visual storytelling, our youth learn to create impactful videos that shed light on the realities of gun violence and opioid addiction, prompting a call to action.
– Podcast: Our participants master the art of podcasting, using their voices to raise awareness, challenge stigmas, and engage in critical conversations about these pressing issues.
– Interview: Our youth gain the confidence to conduct compelling interviews, allowing them to give voice to other survivors and experts, ultimately amplifying the collective narrative.
– Blog: Through expressive writing, our participants pen thought-provoking blogs that spark conversations and advocate for much-needed policy changes.
Fellowship Program
At the heart of the Washington Toe Foundation is our Fellowship Program. We identify and support promising individuals who have shown extraordinary resilience in the face of gun violence and opioid addiction. Through mentorship, financial assistance, and personalized development plans, we nurture these future leaders, empowering them to become change agents in their communities and beyond.
Diversity Educational Program:
The end goal is to guide these youths to pursue and obtain their General Educational Development (GED) certification. The GED is an alternative to a high school diploma, which can be particularly beneficial for those who couldn’t finish traditional schooling for any number of reasons.
An added benefit for the program is that they aim to get refunds or financial support for this recruitment process. This could potentially ensure the sustainability of the program, as they can use these funds to continue and expand their efforts.
